SAN ANTONIO, TX – Dr. Annette Zaharoff, a leading sports medicine and pain management physician who utilizes cutting-edge stem cell injection therapy in her practice, will be featured on a panel of experts discussing “The Promise and Reality of Stem Cell Therapy.”

The panel discussion, organized by the non-profit group The Health Cell, is set for 5:30 pm Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Oak Hills Country Club, 5403 Fredericksburg. The Health Cell promotes collaboration in the healthcare and bioscience industry in San Antonio.

The panel will be moderated by Gabriele Niederauer, Ph.D., CEO of Bluegrass Vascular Technologies. Joining Dr. Zaharoff on the panel are Carlos Bachier, MD, of the Texas Transplant Physician Group; Steven Davis, MD, Cofounder and Chief Medical Officer at StemBioSys; and Loretta Patterson, who received a stem cell transplant to treat a life-threatening blood disorder in 2011. She remains in remission.

Dr. Zaharoff will share her experience as a physiatrist who utilizes non-surgical methods including stem cell injection therapy to treat joint, muscle, ligament and tendon injuries.  Dr. Zaharoff recently returned from conferences in South Korea and the University of Wisconsin where she presented on prolotherapy, another injection therapy technique.
